Fighting FOMO
So, I've found this new bible app that I really like. Its called 'you version bible'. You can get it here at Bible by Life.Church https://itunes.apple.com/au/app/bible/id282935706?mt=8 . In the app you can see what your friends are up to, search and highlight verses, and start plans based on different topics.
At the moment, I'm on day two of my first plan called
Fighting FOMO. Todays devotion was talking about relationships in senior and middle
school. It said that a relationship in school is kinda like food,
"we all love it. We need it we crave it. And sometimes, we get so hungry we
throw some Totino's pizza rolls in the microwave and call it a day"
Now I know, and I'm sure that you know to that most people's favourite meals often require more time then takeaway. Although Domino's pizza and KFC chips are pretty good, a home cooked meal I usually better, I mean depending on who the cook is.
Well it's the same in a high school relationship although they can be good, relationships are often better when they're left to when it really means something. Its hard to not want a relationship when you may have friends that are making out or snuggling or hanging out with their 'boo' all the time.
Well the bible says in Ecclesiastes 3:9-13, 9 But in the end, does it really make a difference what anyone does? I've had a good look at what God has given us to do - busywork, mostly. True, God made everything beautiful in itself and in its time - but he's left us in the dark, so we can never know what God is up to, whether he's coming or going. I've decided that there's nothing better to do than go ahead and have a good time and get the most we can out of life. That's it - eat, drink, and make the most of your job. It's God's gift.
Just enjoy being single. I'm guessing most of you reading this have plenty of time left of life. Don't let a guy define who you are. Your beautiful without a man by your side.
